Austin is ranked #4 on a new list of the best U.S. Cities to be employed by a small business, the Austin Business Journal reports.
The study, which was conducted by personal finance website WalletHub, looked at eleven metrics including the number of small businesses, small business job growth, median income, and umemployment rates in the 100 largest US Cities by population.
Austin's median annual income came in at number two, and it came in at number three for earnings for employees of small businesses. Both numbers were adjusted for cost of living. Austin was number four in terms of unemployment and population growth.
Austin fell substantially in the number of small businesses per capita, however, coming in at 34.
